Fotodiox just anounced the mk 2 version
No mention of fixing the wooble problem
The weight limit of the mk 2 is listed as 2lbs with is over the TAP at 700gm and 680 gm for the Mk1. Perhaps they improved the mechanical strength. I am unconvinced but hopeful. Might be worth a ping to Fotodiox or wait for user reviews. I am not touching it until that issue is clarified.
And after the latest Sony FW updates involving the AF, it was working noticeably worse for me on A7III/7RIII bodies, so I finally gave up and sold my 35 1.4 ZM..
Updated the TP and now it focus pumps and then locks on but often not in focus. Didn't do this before the update. Should have left well enough alone. For the price, the company should work harder on the software and updates.

You know that you can revert to the previous version? (Assuming that was better.)
There is a new player in this space
Megadap. Their M to Z adapter looks like the same concept as Techart, it looks a lot more robust. I emailed them a couple of months ago about an E mount version.
Their response: "stay tunned"

Thanks, I think I noticed that but really, why do they release it and then not follow up. I emailed them about a week ago, nothing.
Why do they release it and then not follow up? Because, in addition to the device being unreliable and not fit for purpose (despite its great potential), their support and customer service are non-existent.

Fingers crossed, then. Thank you for taking the trouble to contact Megadap and letting us know here.
I saw somewhere that the megadap uses a helicoid design relative to the linear rails of the TAP. Should be much stronger and also allow for more precise movement. Hopefully they will release a Emount version, we will see...
Stronger, more accurate, and more focus areas, not just the center would be a welcome improvement over the TAP. In terms of Sony cameras that can take advantage of this new AF adapter I would hope for A7R II and up or newer, in particular A9, A9 II, and A1.
No wobble, proper exif, focal length inserted so image stabilization sees proper focal length---worth price of admission right there. Encouraging that the company actually answers emails. TAP people rarely bother and they never addressed known significant problems for years.

But how is the focus and can you reliably use focus points away from center?
