Jonas -- I understand what you mean about bulky lenses. Although the Batis 40 is moderate size and even bigger with lens hood (I always use), the weight is quite light, making for an easy to carry body/lens. I carry two bodies -- on this trip I had a7R2 with Batis 40 and a7R4 with Batis 25. I also brought the Batis 18 but had no reason to use it. All fit in a small Lowepro Sling bag and not bad to carry all day. I like to keep it light and simple -- next time I have a similar trip, I might take Loxia 21 (or 25) and CV 40/1.2 E instead.

Captured with Batis 85, which is a great performer for close-up work albeit not a macro lens. Using the A7r V with plenty of cropping power, I could make it look pretty much like a macro lens as in the first image down here .
