And actually, it is time here as the trees are starting to turn just a bit up in the higher elevations. Bottoms of the aspens are getting golden...
I'd say two weeks for Colorado...
Of course Canada will have two feet of snow in two weeks too!
I think this is a nice everyday country scene that will be amazing to a lot of people. I like the placement of the foreground boulder in left third vs in middle.
To my eye the sky and trees seem a little too dark vs the river. Yes we love ourselves the dark/contrasty colors of the sky and trees however the river appears less contrasty. Just looks like extreme shadow recovery in the post.

Just my opinion.
Thank you Kane. Actually, you are totally wrong. There is no extreme shadow recovery or any extreme anything. Do you have any experience with CPL or GND filters? I used several filters to control the light and help bring out the autumn colours. I did some slight tweaking in post but this is my vision for this image.

Beautiful Scott! I can't wait to see leaves changing!
Thank you Brad. It's JUST at the beginning here now. Some early colours but not the big show yet. Hoping this weekend it has fired up a bit as I am finally heading out to some places I've wanted to visit for a few years now.

Where is this? Great image btw.
Thank you David. This is Tulabi Falls in Nopiming Provincial Park in Manitoba. A must visit if you're ever out this way. Especially during fall season.
