I have a really hard time letting go of this lens, but with the recent leaks of 50 GM I think it's inevitable.
I don't really see the midzone dip in my photos, but the AF is still driving me mad. If I use only 50 ZA for a longer period, I get used to it and it becomes acceptable. The moment I put on a "modern" lens, the chasm in AF performance becomes unbearable...
Still, when you're not hearing the constant whirling AF sound, it does deliver (this one at f2 actually) :
It has very even perfomance from just off centre to the very corners and these images illustrates the effect well. I believe bokeh benefits also, becomes more even and less 'fussy'. The MTF profile of this 2016 lens is like that of many Carl Zeiss lenses.
