Ah, the QC35! My favorite headphones, ever. I even sold my Shure SE535's after trying out the QC35's.
I thought my 6-year old Sony MDR-NC60 were good enough until I bought the QC35's... Day and night difference!
I figure you’re just as capable of starting that thread as anybody else is. Go for it brother.

Y'all be better off starting a thread D500/105 f1.4 captures wanted. This will get lost here
and probably be construed as a threadjack.
FWIW, I did a portrait session with one of my neighbors using it on the D500
just got done working on this engagement session from 9/30
a few from this session were posted last week
here are a few more from Courtney and Nick in NJ
they had a lot more energy than most of the couples I've shot, and she was really comfy... so they were a treat.
@elijah you are slated to shoot their wedding with me.
available light
all from JPG*
added grain to one b/c it was drizzling a bit. and I got tired of removing drops
used a peak design rain cover and it worked really well
I used it the entire session even though it was only a light drizzle for a few mins.
just wanted to keep the sand out/off of everything
it covers the lens and body really well.
Very nice @ryankarr
edit, I originally saw your images on my phone and they looked good.
a few look crunchy and/or focus missed, on my monitor at home. how are you uploading?

While these are indeed very nice photos, I am wondering why you would "cripple" a D850 by not shooting raw (if this is what you mean).
Not trying to start anything, just trying to understand. I have a lowly D5 and would never dream of shooting in jpeg. Also have the 105 1.4e and love that, but would not be using it on a D800/810/850 body without a tripod...

I am shooting raw and jpg fine. I am storing raw on an external drive - in the event I need them.
I only have/use LR.
I am developing jpg since getting this camera- as I am not happy with the conversion methods available to us.
I don't have the ability to shoot with a tripod, while shooting weddings, family portrait sessions walking in park, walking down a cobble stoned street shooting engagement sessions.
Since getting this camera, I have delivered 5 weddings, 3 engagements, and 36 family portrait sessions using jpg.
I took half the time that I normally spend in editing. Clients are thrilled. My family is thrilled.
will I go back to processing raw when I finally get LR7? I guess so.
I think you should be a LITTLE more open minded.
I don't know you or your level. So don't be offended. Just ignore me if I'm insulting you lol.
1. shoot both jpg fine and raw on your next shoot. open up the jpg and see how well your D5 handles EVERYTHING. your camera has literally the best JPG ENGINE in the world. check it out. it's amazing how little time you need to spend on wb and other things. try it out. this way you have some experience with it before talking with others
2. as you can see, I shoot outside. if you are shooting outside, and not doing landscape work... if you're concerned with the megapixels and long focal length on a heavier than average lens without VR.. consider shooting at no less than 1/320 and try to shed the crippling tripod (for the right projects naturally).
