elijah's took a month earlier this summer. he returned his shortly before the anniversary, which was early july. so I think it was during june.
Mine took a month, indeed. During that time, I had 3 weddings and NPS loaned out a 70-200FL...
Quite an amazing lens, was very handy.
Although I LOVED the zoom, it will not replace the 105.
Here's a question regarding the Nikon 105 and Lightroom, for those who process your images thru Lightroom: When processing images in Lightroom, I have always checked the box " Enable Profile corrections." This is the ONLY lens I own where I cannot do that. It always adds a ton of exposure to my shot. Finally, after many images, I've learned to never apply Profile corrections in Lightroom to images taken with the 105. What is it about this lens that is different than all the other lenses I own where Lightroom does not negatively affect the exposure?

can't say for sure. it's a personal thing for you.
I would say that MOST of us here PROBABLY don't click on that button unless it's a UWA shot or WA shot that has humans on the edges. but again, it's quite personal.
my 105 repair (clean and cal) order was updated today, it says shipped, now. crazy!
that wasn't very long of a "parts hold".
in fact, the repair status screen only said "parts hold" for 2 or 3 business days.

I generally leave it off, like you I find it adds a ton of exposure. Every now and then I'll turn it on, but it's the exception not the rule.

Yes, the 105 and the 58 are the two lenses for which I typically leave lens profile correction in LR off.

I did the same... you won't be sorry!
Ok, I just completed the switch over to Nikon. I have a D500 now and I'm happier.
Any results with this lens on the D500?
(I mainly do music events and social media posts, but with portraits and product/food photography mixed in for websites, so I don't need the high res of the D850 right now. But I am saving for one for next year.)
