Wow, is this the end of it, it took me three weeks to read it at work, feld like finishing a marathon.
To all great thanks for the input provided, this info is top notch, some users here were posting through over two years, what an accomplishment. I am posting couple pics here with my travelite studio, basically using two umbrellas, and having my own kids as subjects. this is only a temp setup so I don't have any pics of those.

Outstanding photos Kedan! Thanks for sharing those. Wow! Too cute.
Thanks, yes its hard to make your six month old do things you want but it worked out perfect. I had the computer on, so when he was hitting the keys it was making sound, this has drew his attention to the screen, from this session I have about 50 other great photos,
All shot D1x, with, 2 umbrellas, one direct one off to the side, I didn't much room to move him he was only about 1-2 ft of the backdrop
I noticed that very few people in this thread listed or showed equipment other then their lighting equipment. So not to hijack the thread I started a new thread focusing on what type of equipment is in your studio i.e. computers, monitors, pen boards, desks, printers, external drives etc. I think that if you combined the "Show Us Your Studio" thread and this equipment thread would be a powerful tool for people.
I just signed the lease Friday and am moving stuff in. I am amazed at how much crap I've accumulated over the last few years. I'm still not done moving stands and whatnot.
It's a work in progress as I have to figure out how to furnish part of it.
Here's the layout to help make sense of the photos:
The room with the door will become the makeup/changing room.
The all important shooting area. It's 20x26 ft and a 10 ft ceiling. Large enough for the people shots I do. Excuse the mixed lighting on a couple of these. I was too lazy to gel the flash to match the flourescent overheads. I later turned them off for a couple to get better, more accurate color.
The floor is carpeted and based on a conversation with John E., I decided to leave it. I added a laminate wood area right on top of the carpet to use as an underlayment for seamless paper. It's a 10x10 square. Only cost me $75.
There's a closet for small item storage and yes, it has a sink. Don't ask me why. The previous tenants put it in.
