I have been reading this thread as it gets bigger and I am ready to add my little corner studio to the thread... There should be a waringing placed on this thread like the one (Not Work Safe) but instead "Will lighten wallet" well here is mine.
Wow, 216 pages of amazing images, setups, & ideas. Once I started reading this thread I couldn't stop until I finished it. I wish I had something to contribute here but I'm still in the dreaming stage as far as studio work goes. Keep up the great posts everyone!
See. You don't need a $5000 set up to take decent photos.
Photo of my old mans band. They wanted the typical band shot with each member looking in a diff direction. I didn't have complete artistic control over it otherwise there would have been many things fixed up with it ~
Boy oh boy after seeing these kinds of studios and the results got me thinking would it ever be an experience to actually be able to visit and watch a professional on their home turf setting up these shots. Looks like a lot of planning, I'm guessing the easiest part is firing the shutter. lol

and here's a shot. i hand held the main flash over the product. one sb 800 and the others an sb 600. + 2 exposeure on the camera, with the 85 f1.4 @f2 1/60 sec.
MANNNNN! looking at that cake just about did me in. 3 months of Atkins almost down the tubes! But I have restrained. Now where did I put those pork rinds?
