Taken in the horrible, flat light in the waiting area of a medical building, this is the best image, of the very few, I’ve taken since the beginning of Covid and, for me, a validation of the new Ricoh GR IIIx, with its 40 mm EFOV lens.
I like the processing. I've hummed and hawed about the Cobalt profiles.... Maybe I should bite the bullet.
Crop. And auto-transform in LR.
Thanks! I like the Repro profile. The Cobalt film emulations are interesting as well, but I have not tried them yet. The Repro profile is a nice basis to start B&W editing in Silver Efex - I will post an example later.
Quick hop from Amsterdam into Heathrow earlier this week, pre-UK-quarantine rules. Flying at relatively low altitude, these are high clouds over low (and rainy) ceilings. Shot during a right turn over the North Sea.
Perhaps I should have closed down the aperture but the exit row window was a bit greasy and I did not want to run the risk. Actually, I find shooting the GR 3 wide open perfectly fine IQ-wise (same for the GR and GR 2, BTW). Focusing was an issue - I find that the GR 3 sometimes has focusing challenges...
Love the tonality that the GR's raw files provide through the Cobalt Repro profile. Silver efex pro is a fine match.
