I know this is an image thread, but since there is no dedicated GR III thread and the question is short:
Can anyone check if the rear Fn button can be used for focus lock without locking AE? I'm reading reviews and it seems that it only locks AF and AE, which is useless to me. I want to lock focus and wait for "the moment" while the camera still continues to meter and change the exposure, without holding a button. Is that possible on the GR III? It was on the GR II.

Looking at the list of options for Fn Button Setting of which there are many, the list has the following
ENABLE AF
AF+AE LOCK
AE LOCK
So it does not seem like it can be used for focus lock.

Thanks! Damn, they have really removed everything I liked about the GR II.
I guess I'll have to wait a couple more years before the perfect camera comes... Sigh.
