Is anyone using this (GR III) as their only camera? Or their primary? I'm seriously considering shooting with just a single lens camera again (previously had the GR) to challenge my creativity. Have felt in a bit of a slump lately.
My GR I has been pretty much the only camera I've used in the last few years, with the Sony RX100 I in certain occasions when I need a tele shot. I've been very happy with the results, especially for landscape and macro. Of course it is very limiting in the kind of look you can produce. When I used my 5D + Mamiya APO 200/2.8 again on a rare occasion, it was a bit of a revelation, but I'm just kind of done lugging that much weight around and love always having my GR with me, esp. because it's so easy to use.
Edit: unfortunately my GR died a few weeks ago (the lens doesn't retract or fully extend anymore). It lasted 4.5 years though...
Had my first GRII encounter in early 2018 and have never looked back. This little gem has reshaped my perceived notions of composition, framing, perspective and photography in general and shelved most of my mf lenses and gear that is occasionally missed.
