Nice shot Rico! RAW or JPEG? If JPEG, straight out of camera?
Thanks! I shoot JPEG only. As a studio maven, I wanted all the elements (key, fill, b/g) to be balanced in front of the camera (no masking tricks). The exposure was just under blowing out the white b/g, and I bumped it the final increment in post. Not an efficient lighting scheme: Speedlight was about max'ed out.

Hi KirkB - I am an amateur bird/wildlife photographer shooting a D500 with a 300mm PF with a TC-14E. Your D500 photos are an inspiration!
Thanks for the wonderful compliment Bob, I greatly appreciate it.
I am an amateur/hobbyist as well, and started my passion of bird photography with the D300, 300 f/4 D, and TC-14E II which served me very well. Your combo is an excellent choice capable of producing excellent images. I do hope you'll post your images in the Nature & Wildlife Forum, it's a wonderful community I've always enjoyed.
