That first image top corner shows very typical smearing for all subjects that are medium to long distances. If I take a portrait orientation so that corner becomes bottom left, for subjects a few feet away it cleans up nicely (though still not perfect). The smearing is most noticeable when there are branches in front of a bright sky, and the sky becomes murky in these corners.
Here are a couple more. Apologies for lack interesting subject/composition. First one from my hotel room shortly after I received the lens.
Well, any thoughts on this copy? A keeper or return?

A few interior shots with VC15mm E-mount. These shots were taken at f/11.0 and f/8.0 respectively, and the distortion was not corrected. I could not detect any smearing at all corners. Hopefully, I can use this lens for shots of interior architectures. What do you guys think? Thanks.

Can you supply some full-rez images for us to peruse the corners?

I managed to crop 4 corners of each image, at 100% crop. You are looking at the streaky patterns on the carpet at lower left and right corners. Here they are:

This does look excellent. Can you just confirm your camera is not set up in crop mode? I highly doubt that based on the FOV of you full images, but it doesn't hurt to check. These corners are almost too good to be true

Sorry to disappoint you, Chris! I just checked the camera. It was at full frame mode, and the raw file is at 42MP. I guess I got lucky to receive this Choppy.

After a week of further testing and use in the real world I have reluctantly decided to send mine back. This lens is so right in so many ways but mine has soft/smeared corners on any distant subject. It's very sharp in the center and on the sides but after seeing that there are better copies for the corners decided to try again.
It's frustrating to have to do this but I am going to join the keep trying til you get a good copy crowd. I want one as good as Choppy.
