Yes, unless you are using a true raw viewer there seems to always be some magic going on behind the scenes when the conversion occurs. I always get a kick when someone says that they loaded their RAW file into ACR, C1, whatever and didn't do any modifications to the image - well most raw converters have many defaults set that you have to go in and adjust to turn off as well as some adjustments that you don't have any control over.

Slightly off topic, but has anyone tried putting extension tubes on this lens?
I'd like to experiment with UWA Macro, but would rather get the E mount version than M mount (with close focus adapter).
The Laowa 15mm macro also had me tempted, but I'd much prefer the CV15.

Sorry if this has been answered already, but does anybody know if it's possible to squeeze a 62mm filter with 58mm-62mm step ring inside the petal hood? Or for lens owners with 58mm filters, does it look like there is at least 2mm clearance between the outside of the filter ring and the inside of the hood?

You need to remove the built-in hood first. That can be accomplished the boring way (skgrimes) or the fun way (dremel)
Guy, when you get little choppy back today, post a picture of it with the step-up filters. It looks good.

No 58 is the max. It's just to tight and it's even hard getting a 58 on through the petal gaps. A CPL was a pain to rotate so reason I decided to get rid of the petals. My other issue was my Batis lenses being 67mm, so I had to buy both sizes and carry that around. PITA. Even when I get the E version I'm cutting off the petals. I buy expensive filters and having different sizes really adds up. It's really a bad design on Cosina part and the new 10 and 12 don't have filter threads so 15 is the only one.

My Voigtländer Super Wide-Heliar 15/4.5 ASPHERICAL III FE arrived 2 days ago. It sure is capable of high IQ pictures.
The following 25% resolution image was taken with A7r2 @ ISO 100, f/11, 1/640 s.
However, with regards to corner performance I think I might have gotten a lemon.
Please have a look at the following images. I appreciate your feedback.

So Guy, I went back and re-checked the corners on my M version, and they are great. I wonder if it has anything to do with the petal removal? (I had SK grimes removed mine).
I think I got it close to when you got yours, so maybe the same batch? My S/N ends: 21261
