Nice series, did you go alone or with a tour? You should organize a group tour with fellow FM members.
Hi Troy, I went with a fellow FM member and reigning Wildlife Photog of the Year, Don Gutoski, and I arranged the trip through someone. I would be happy to do the same for other FM members who would want to visit these amazing cats.

Birdie
Thanks so much Birdie...I think I might have overdone it this time but there was so much to share that it would have taken a year to bring them all out...hmm, seems like I've done that before haven't I
Eric
Magnificent post of some beautiful cats in the land that time forgot. What an amazing adventure.
HUGE Congrats on the very well deserved FTOW my friend.
Kirk
You are too kind Kirk...I am really happy you and others seemed to have liked the post...either that or you all were bludgeoned into submission! And yes, this was so very different from any other cat centered trip with which I've been involved. Your oh so nice words are REALLY appreciated.
Eric

Can't remember whether I commented yet on the thread, but a well-deserved congratulations, Dr. G., for FTOWT! (or whatever it's called).
Great fun to see these images in a single post--next best thing to being there!
Greg

How close did you get? What lenses?
So we were as close as 30' but often were at 50 yards or more so having significant reach is important...the trade offs though are carrying heavy equipment up and down the mountains/foothills and trying to control a long lens in 70 mph winds. I originally had planned on bringing my 600mm and 100-400 and wide angle but my travel partner suggested I lose the 600 and bring the 200-400 and additional 1.4tc....so that is what I did along with a 70-200
