Excellent and unique take on it! I was there a couple days later and could only wish for a scene like this, as well as the ability to capture and process it with this much artistry.
Yosemite is so unpredictable and that makes my favorite shooting location. I was there for 3 days and got pretty much rain the entire time. Luckily it cleared up for a little while and I was able to capture this image. Thanks for your comment.

Thats magnificent Fred, love the B&W rendition. It also helps confirm my recent body & lens addition to my bag. I recently added the A7r ll to mu canon gear and purchased the 16-35 fe as my first native lens. Thanks for posting this image and info.
Andy
You can't go wrong with this combo for landscapes (A7RII + FE 16-35/4). The new Loxia 21/2.8 is stellar but not much better.

I agree with Chaz. This is gorgeous Fred! Such wonderful tones. I can imagine this as a very large print and standing in front of it with my chin on the floor!

Thank you guys. I'm working on printing this image at 20x30in. I usually don't print black and whites and this should be interesting.

Excellent BW tonality here in a classic scene. Fits BW very well, I think I like this more than the color images Fred posted earlier.
How come did that chainsaw massacre end in the river? That. Log. Does. Not. Belong. There.
I have to agree with you there. However, these pieces have been there for a long while now and I'm not sure how they got there.

Thanks Todd!
Yes, all Sony for this one: A7RII and FE 16-35/4 zoom.
