Thank YOU, Fred! I am delighted that you like to see my postings.
I really feel (and have often said) that I owe much of what I know about photography to you and this great site. I even gave it a substantial citation in the first paragraph of the "Acknowledgements" page of my Black and White Flower Photo book. http://www.blurb.com/b/2573069-black-and-white-in-bloom
"It is strange how things happen in life. A few years, I never imagined that photographing flowers would have evolved into such a specialty. It was thanks to the amazing and encouraging comments from all my photographic pals who frequent the FredMiranda.com website "Black And White Forum" that I started down this path. Their outpouring of support for my work, as well as their infrequent but wise critical commentary, certainly helped me to hone ever one of these photos."
I believe you live in the LA area. It would be an honor and pleasure to get to meet you someday. Until then, thanks again for this great site you have provided for all of us.
Fond regards,
Endre

Breathtaking and gorgeous in every way, Fred! We don't often get the pleasure of seeing your magnificent work, but that rarity makes this that much more special. Bravo!!

Fred, a fantastic photo. I never seem to be able to see a "bad"photo of Yosemite but that's probably because each photo brings back so many memories of great times spent there throughout the years. There's always something just a tad bit special about a good B&W photo....a throwback perhaps but for me, no matter what the scene, B&W just seems to bring out so much more detail. Once again, great photo and thanks for the share.
Thank you all for the comments and feedback. I agree that is hard to take a bad picture in Yosemite. I'm so lucky to live 7 hours away but I wish I was closer.
All the best,
Fred
Excellent and unique take on it! I was there a couple days later and could only wish for a scene like this, as well as the ability to capture and process it with this much artistry.
Thats magnificent Fred, love the B&W rendition. It also helps confirm my recent body & lens addition to my bag. I recently added the A7r ll to mu canon gear and purchased the 16-35 fe as my first native lens. Thanks for posting this image and info.

I can't remember a finer presentation of this view! Simply spectacular.
+1
I agree with Chaz. This is gorgeous Fred! Such wonderful tones. I can imagine this as a very large print and standing in front of it with my chin on the floor!
