I was up at Glacier's Logan Pass early yesterday morning with a fellow photographer (my daughter). It was cool and blustery and certainly did not feel like summer - a poignant reminder that fall is just around the corner.
I captured this with a friend's 35 mm Loxia (thanks, Jack!)
Here's a photo from the night before the sunrise photo above. It is of Logan Pass from the tunnel on the east side of Going To The Sun Road, Glacier NP
Most people go with a wide angle lens from this place (including me most often) to get more of the surrounding cirque, but this time I wanted to get a bit closer and more intimate.
Your image link needs repair. There's a double slash (//) after "xitek.com" where there should only be a single slash (/). I'll try to fix it in this post for you, or you can edit your own post with the correction and then I'll delete this post. Either way, lovely photo! The sunstars, in this setting, look very futuristic!
Edit: It looks as though there's some feature on the image host / website you're using that blocks image embedding. I can't seem to make it display. But copying and pasting the URL above into a web browser seems to work.
Here are a few from last week's backpacking trip into the east side of the Wind River Range, Wyoming. I can now say that I know why these are called the "Wind" Rivers!
These were all taken with the Sony A7RIII and the 21 mm Loxia. I also have some astro images with this lens that I am still working on.
OK, so granted, the title is a little odd. However the "Sun" in the case is the Sun River which flows out of the Bob Marshall Wilderness and the Rocky Mountain Front of Montana.
