Looks like smooth reflections works well for astro, I'm not seeing any star eating behaviour either but I do have ever so slight trails here.

Beautiful lady and Loxia lens rendering. Since lens is MF how difficult it is to work with on events/weddings? Keeper rate etc?
Thanks
I would not photograph a wedding with an MF lens
It will probably be a little tight with time and too much looked to have 100% focus on the shots etc .. I like Loxia 85 and I think it might be enough with f 2.4 also.. and it does quite well for portrait
I had some focus miss when I photographed this lady
do you have time to set up the model so maybe it works well with MF
but at a wedding there is usually no such time... my opinion
but I have only doing one wedding before and I had most MF lenses .. but I was second photographer so I relied on the pictures I missed the first photographer get that shot
Bought the 85/2.4 today, and I'm not sure I like it. It draws very much like the Loxia 50 with nice bokeh close up, but it gets a tad nervous a few meters away. Also, the transition zone doesn't look nice at all, which is surprising.
But, it's extremely sharp to the very corners already at f/2.4. My intended use for this lens is stopped down work with everything in focus, so we'll see. The question is if it does much better than the old Leica 90/4 that is extremely much smaller and lighter. Not to mention cheaper.
Having a great time with my Loxia 21... for a zoom and AF guy this is new territory! The A7R3 manual focus process and zoom preview makes it SO easy to control the shot. Crazy sunstars from the 21! Last week in Portland OR....

I really don't need anything in the focal length that the Loxias cover, but every time I see an image from one it takes so much willpower not to add one to my cart at B&H. I need to stay away from this thread lol
