Boy this catches me. The comp, color and mood are great. I have been out and view the cedars, but to catch the lighting and the Kiva has the same flavor. Good work!

Really love the quality of light here. It's so strong and intense, yet there is a lot of dimension and subtlety to it somehow. I especially like the transition to slightly cooler colors in the clouds off to the left! I would crop in from the left just a touch to remove that little boulder on the left border, personally. Otherwise, really enjoyed this one.

Exactly! I am thinking of those landscape paintings of Thomas Moran or Albert Bierstadt. Dramatic lighting and colors.
