Just walked in the door from Bosque Del Apache and worked this shot. Taken with the 300PF + 1.7x TC. This guy and his 5 ladies and 3 little ones were enjoying an evening meal in a field. I snapped a ton of shots... plenty to work on. I really liked how the setting sun was hitting his horns.
Now... on to the 3000 or so photos I need to work on. lol I shot with the 300PF all weekend long.. such a great lens! But... the 500mm PF is in my sights... or... I sell a kidney and get the 600F/4 possibly used.
Hatch
Love this Hatch.
Found myself grabbing the 300 PF as my 500mm was too long, it didn't disappoint, these birds (Red Kites) dive fast and pick up food on the wing:-
Wow Tim,
Insane levels of detail and the colors are great, nowhere near oversaturated like some of the colors on here.
That must be one helluva shooting 'iron' that you have there.
I wish that Nikon would ship the 500mm to Australia a little more often. . . .
