The D500 and the 300 PF are my favorite combo for walk-around shooting. These were taken at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone last February(the first shot wasn't as sharp as I'd have liked but I couldn't resist the pose):

I love your neck of the woods... spent a week sailing through the Salish Sea and Johnstone Strait last year, photographing the Olympic Peninsula this year, and plan to visit the Khutzeymateen next year. I am looking for a way to get Vancouver Island to adopt a benevolent US Resident from MN... but we seem to currently be "persona non grata" right now... got to wonder why/
It might be a coincidence, but with Nikon constantly playing games, I doubt it. But I see that Amazon and Adorama have just announced that they will have stocks of the Nikon D850 by the end of August, that's the date/time frame that Nikon Australia gave me for supply of the 300mm F/4.0 PF ED VR lens. . .
Seems as if it's been all stops out to get something finished and then a mad rush to get everything back to normal, and with Nikon that just means more of the same. . .

Love these pictures. I've got the 300 and the TC14E III purchased here arriving tomorrow. I've got a D810 and am wondering if I should pick up a used D500 or if I should spend $500 more, sell the D810 and get a used D850.
