I recently picked up a 300PF and a TCE-III from the buy and sell board. The lens came with a Vello collar to which I attached a RRS lens plate. Here is a shot I took with the TC. Great portable lens.

Welcome Chloesview. Keep posting your birding images taken with this incredible lens. The results are stunning either naked or with the 1.4 or 1.7. I often question myself as to whether I really "need" any of the "backbreaking" lenses that I also have, given this remarkable lens.
All the wildlife that lives on or near our property seems to be camera shy--if there is a camera within my easy reach, all the critters are nowhere to be seen. I was out in the garage fixing a turn signal light on our golf car when this guy stuck his head in. By the time I had a camera in hand he was almost on our neighbor's driveway--got just a few shots before he was lost behind shrubbery. Not a good photograph, but I love having such a small, light tele with good quality that grabs focus an my D500 even with a TC17E:
Still loving the 300mm PF. When I first got the 1.4x tc I wasn't really impressed but the more I use it, the more likely I'm eventually just going to glue it onto the lens!
Great images Corey! The sky looks particularly nice, did you use a cpl? The exif shows 150-600 in some, is that the Sigma Sport?

Ordered one today. Currently back ordered with Nikon Canada. Had one signed out from NPS to test with ski racing a few weeks ago on a D500 and was super impressed. Looking forward to using it in several sports scenarios.
A couple of photos taken yesterday. I am trying the 300mm f4 pf bare and with teleconverters using the new D500. These are taken with the 1.4TC Mark1. A large proportion of yesterdays images were soft/slightly out of focus although I did af tune the combination. The next step is to try the 1.7TC.
