The hummers by me are very skittish. I cannot get closer than 8-9 feet even with a busy feeder. How do you get them to come in so close and even by on a finger?

Thanks, Scott. The high number of hummers competing for food in such a concentrated area makes them bolder, and a having a sweet finger helps.

Thanks, Rex. We had to move from a home on acreage to a townhouse in town, so no water set-up anymore. Get one or two Anna's coming to a feeder on our deck, that that is all now.
