Up here, that merganser would be frozen in the ice! And have a couple feet of snow on it. I really like this image Karl. The blue makes a nice even background to show the bird off against.

Don't implicate me, I don't see any dust spots over the mountains
It's a real beauty of a shot Karl. He looks relaxed and not fleeing, that makes for such a better feel to the image. I like the banding of the background blurs adding a dynamic motion to the duck. A bit more head turn.... but the determination of his look overcomes that to a degree.
Boy, if you have more stuff like this hiding on your HD, bring it on, I want to see it Kudos buddy

Love the looooooowwwwwww angle of attack here Karl... the pastel bluish water is a beautiful canvas for the Mergie... super detail, color, and composition my friend.
