I just bought another Canon full-frame body. Could I have done better with Nikon or Sony? Let's see, who else offers a system with these options:
8-15 fisheye zoom
17 tilt-shift
24 with IS
28 with IS
35 with IS
best 24-70/2.8
24-70/4 with IS and macro
23mm pancake
40mm pancake
50 1.2
85 1.2
200-400 with built-in 1.4X
flash with built-in radio
superb ergonomics
dual-pixel AF
12-14 fps
world's lightest DSLR
Oh wait, Nikon and Sony don't make those. Never mind!

Sure, if you like really slow AF. And who doesn't like r-e-e-e-a-a-a-a-l-l-ly slow AF? Cameras that force you to slow down and think are so good, because you can slow down and think about what it would be like to have fast AF.
wow, what a let down.
I HOPE Canon is reading these forums, and watching their R+D money dry up. So many of us owned high end Canons and have since moved on to something else, as they continually just push the same old tired tech.

1000-times discussed - If you need AF, you need to stick to available Sony lenses. With third party lenses, AF is not recommended with this kind of camera. This camera is not made for action shooting where AF is needed!
So, Canon's dynamic range deficit now extends to copy writing and marketing? Heavy sigh. (And this from a guy who loves his Canon gear and isn't contemplating a switch) That copy was dreadful and the attached videos ham fisted. What a load of hot air...

Why use the good glass on a crappy Canon sensor. Put it on a Sony!
Went to the Nikon D810 and sold the Canon. There is a ton of great glass for Nikon too!

In other words the Sony A7 series is not a good fit for Zlatko's system requirements. I find it hard to believe that someone would want a 200-400 zoom and a 12-14FPS body for manual focus.

Obviously photography is more about the equipment, but when you are the equipment manufacturer ---- it's about the equipment.
Wha...?
On another point, this thread would be a wonderful case study of the dynamics of things like gear rumors (and not just in photograph) and the ways that people define themselves by stuff and the companies that produce that stuff. :-)
And on yet a third point, the text of this marketing campaign is very, very strange. I'll have to see how it ties in to other related media, but most people are going to have a hard time figuring out exactly what it is trying to say. Something about Canon and "impossible," whatever that implies.
