Canon 100 mm f/2.8 macro. The lens resolves so well that in a 13 x 19" print, one can see not only the dark vertical shape of the tree trunk in a raindrop in the upper center, but my reflection to its right as well! Tripod, mirror lockup, remote release, camera RAW.
I just cannot resist to participate after viewing so many wonderful images. My current favorite lens is the 300f4L IS which is amazingly light, sharp and contrast. The IS works magic too in a lot of situations. Here is one of my favorite shots with this lens (1/250s f/7.1 at 300.0mm iso200 ):
very cool thread... it was very hard to narrow one single image down. i have a bunch of shots i like taken with my 50mm f1.4 but i thought this flamingo pic edged them out...

Do you live in New Orleans, Abel? I do, and I love our zoo. I only wish I could get out there more. And having no long glass doesnt help either.
actually i dont, i live in houston, tx. i was there for a wedding in august and made it a point to go to the zoo while i was in town. i was very impressed with the zoo and thought it was far better than ours.
i went there in august so it was VERY hot so we didnt stay long... hehe
