Great job on these, Ron. You got some cool shots! I particularly like the close up where the baleen is visible.
Lovely colors and feel in the last two

Hey Ron, you had a banner day on the sea! I do feel for you carrying your gear around like that...hope you didn't hurt yourself and have to go on sick leave ....retirement suits you well my friend! You really got some great shots and love the ones with the baleen prominently displayed...those are very cool. Aquarium shots are surprisingly difficult and you go two very nice jellies.
Hope you can get to the pond this year and maybe we can shoot together
Eric
Thanx Eric. It certainly was a fun day shooting the whales. I may have to leave at 3 of 4 AM to go up to MD because I really hated driving around DC, but I do hope to make it. I will let you know if plans firm up.

I spent some time in the aquarium in New Orleans a couple of weeks ago but I found focus & DOF difficult shooting through glass into water. These shots are great. Love the whales.
Thanx Arthur. At one point, the camera actually focuse on the crud on the glass of the tank, and the subject was totally oof.

The aquarium images are both beauties from another world.
Well done, Ron.
Chris
Thanx Chris. I had to take a ton of shots in the aquarium to get a few keepers.

Hey cool Ron!!! Looks like you had an incredible experience. Good for you!!! You sure did get some wonderful shots. You sure made it look easy Just standing on the boat, waiting for the whale to come up in just the spot your are focused on You did a remarkable job, love the smiler(8). The aquarium shots aint to shabby either
Got more?
Tim
Thanx Tim. I wasn't really waiting for a whale to breach, I was just waiting for something to happen. I may post a few more similar shots at some point...

Nice series and wonderful storyline. I especially like the last few. The black backgrounds along with the interesting colors makes the Jellyfish look like they're suspended in deep space (or in the deep ocean depths). Well done.
Brian M.
Thanx Brian. The jellies were really interesting, but hard to shoot.

Morris
Thanx Morris. We enjoyed the aquarium, but not as much as the whale watch.
