Besides, who needs 12 fps in a high-MP, high-DR "scenic" camera? That's why you buy into a system; different components provide different capabilities - the system does 'everything', not one particular camera or lens.
I wasn't slagging them, we don't even know what they are, I was just saying what it can't be for it to make sense (one person was suggesting 5fps). I don't think it can be only 5fps, and 2007 DR and no 4k and be able to sell for 5D4 prices nevermind 1Ds prices, just being 46MP vs 36MP won't be enough IMO if the rest is the same or worse than D810, so I was just saying I think it's gotta be bringing a lot more.

Well it'd have stiff competition form the Penttax 645Z which is about 8K, 40MP, bigger sensor and reasonably priced glass.

I said IF they did not improve them, THEN who would pay that much, etc. etc. THUS I think it has to have a new sensor and more fps and 4k or at least two of the three.
By definition, a 1D-series camera brings "a lot more" than a prosumer or consumer grade body.
And yet someone was saying it might be 5fps, same as the D810 and thus why I started saying it has to bring more and I can't see it being only 5fps, same old DR and no 4k.

If it had the color depth that Canon has reportedly been working on and raw 4k to go with the MP's and fps then that would be worth $8k. Of course we'll have to see how Sony prices their upcoming camera which will probably be using the same sensor.

When I looked at the 645Z, the lenses seemed to be almost $5000 each, at least the ones I looked at. I had considered the Pentax but the lens cost made me think otherwise. Maybe I looked at the wrong lenses?
