I keep thinking "see impossible" is like when my girlfriend tells me I am being "impossible". That is definitely how my relationship with Canon feels right now.
It wouldn't be a surprise if canon were to introduce such a camera, due to the competition's releases and the fact that it is about time to announce a high end full frame, it has been a while now. Add the new MKII higher resolving L lenses, and the writing is on the wall. It won't be a 46Mb, I would think it would be a bit lower, in the high 30s perhaps.
Well, T - 8 days until Photo Plus Expo starts... Tic Toc Tic Toc...
The only way Canon gets rid of the trolling is with 2 cameras. One full frame mirrorless camera with the style, EVF and quality of the FUji X-T1 and a similar line of lenses and a DSLR style Camera (the 3D) with a 1 series like body build but smaller in size than a 1 series. Needless to say both cameras MUST have a 100pt DxO rated 36mp (or more in the case of the 3D) full frame sensor, 6fps or more and both must have class leading AF.
anyone wanna bet that ain't gonna happen. easy money.

I need to believe that Canon can finally release something that gets the trolls out of the Canon forum here, Professor

That'll never happen, regardless of what Canon does.
Exactly - a lot of the "trolls" (i.e. people who are disheartened by the size of the gap to competitors in certain areas) are people who own a large amount of Canon gear, are invested in the system and therefor have an interest in expressing their opinions on the Canon forum, and will continue to do so.
If they do come out with a high megapixel wide dynamic range body at Photo Plus then I expect the complaining to die right down at least
It's silly that people are still hanging onto the notion that something is going to be announced. Well......it's not.
If everyone added up all the time wasted wishing, hoping and speculating on this thread and used this time to hone your photographic skills, many here would be better phtographers.

Feel free to troll as much as you want. I'll take a 1DX2 over a toy ML or a compromised 3D.
The Vox Populi in this forum would not agree...
Remember the 3D is a no compromise body. Better, faster, but smaller and lighter. It is a myth, camera utopia...

This sort of threads is a forum equivalent of glue sniffing.
