I hold an annual mini session before Christmas (people can choose if they want Christmas theme or not) and these dogs dropped in with their cat sister for some fun photo idea.

zippylock, great photo. Did you use flash?
No, I did not use a flash. Just a single photo, and them edited in Photoshop to pull the shadows back so you could see Tessa. I exposed between the tree/Tessa and then played with the lighting in post.

What is the dog breed on the bottom picture? We rescued a dog and he sorta looks like your type of breed. I posted a few posts up showing him
I like your dog! Yes, our dogs do look rather similar. My first impression was that your dog might have some whippet genes. How big?
Our dog is about 55 pounds. Most people guess ridgeback or boxer mix. Her behavior is very ridgeback (sighthound, prey drive, very affectionate, loves to run, and plays vigorously). Wisdom Panel DNA test came back with a mishmosh of breeds - if I remember right, some combination of ridgeback, boxer, Doberman, AmStaff, and Great Pyrenees (the latter seems highly unlikely), plus some unidentifiable contributions.
I met someone once who swore their previous dog, a border collie mix (!?!), looked just like mine.

Yeah we really have no idea, we were told boxer and healer bread mix, but I just don't know. How did you do a Wisdom Panel DNA?
I haven't weighed him since we got him but he is I would say just a bit over 40 pounds now. When we got him he was 38 pounds I would say he is 5 to 10 over that now.
