I had a great session yesterday with another senior, Jenny, and while the weather really got hot, she hung in there and I think we got some nice images. As always CC is very welcome.
#1 is great.
In #2 I wish she was a little more engaged or happy. I think it would fit the theme a little better. She seems bored.
#3 is nice. The lighting is great. I think the skin smoothing and eye whitening is a little much and I'm not crazy about the crossed arms. Love the styling though.
Teacher, good observation. I think I can kill that chin hair without too much issue.
eSchwab: I never ever whiten eyes. If veins are too bad I might desaturate, but never whiten. (although I must admit they do look a bit white. I will look into that) And as far as skin smoothing goes, she had some of the best complexion Ive ever seen. If it was a larger image I believe you could see that there is alot of detail in the skin.
That said I always appreciate the criticism. Helps me get better. Thanks.
Those are fantastic images. No nits at all. As the father of 3 daughters, I only cringe to think how mature these girls look by the time they're seniors. Time to get a shotgun and a shovel!
The first is a really nice shot technically.. I am wondering though, am I the only one that thinks this might be a bit too suggestive for a senior shoot? Lots of skin and little else......Mature? absolutely.

She is wearing the same outfit that you see in the bubbles photograph. That said, I see what youre saying. She liked the shot and I havent heard any complaints yet. But I will keep that in mind. Thanks.

Very nice!! What's the EXIF for #1?
1/125, F 2.8, Canon 70-200 is Version uno. iso 250 at 190mm
Everytime I think I have myself talked into getting verion II of that lens, I take a photo with the one I have wide open and cant imagine Im missing that much. I really like my copy.
Wow. If there's ever been a picture-perfect face, this is it. The bright OOF area directly above her head in #2 is a little distracting, otherwise these are top shelf. I don't know who chose the flowers in #3, but the colors match quite well with her dress & lips.
Yea, I started cloning out that open area and wasnt happy with how I was progressing with it. Might give it another shot.
She put together the headband on the way to the session. I had recommended a florist when she first asked about it (real flowers just photo better) But I must admit, she did a really good job and it definitely matches well.
