Just goes to show, you don't need the "latest, greatest" gear to capture compelling images ... just good light, good subjects, and good timing

Is that the new 500mm, if it is, it works great on the D3s.

Today i will be outdoors with the 200-400 vr1, for the first time.
I think not it will be that sharp.

Sadly the weather is all wrong here today

Bought myself a D700 today.. good condition, 47k clicks, 399� - couldn�t resist

No good light left today, but already from playing around with it I can confirm the thread title.

Really interested in the performance in combination with my mf Nikkors, esp the 2.5/105

Look for the Nikon Manual Focus Glass thread. All that�s showcased there are lenses like the 105/2.5.
