It's obviously a pose for the photographer of that image. I find it difficult to believe otherwise. Everyone else was looking in the other direction too.

If you insist, I will explain ... guy #3 shows and has no leg to hold, so he tussles with one of you who lets go of the leg and accidently knocks her over the edge. The sudden impulse of momentum pulls the remaining guy still holding the leg over the edge and both that guy and the girl go splat.
You are correct, at this point it is R for blood guts and gore.
