Found this beautiful shot in this link of people being stupid with their lives ... attractive young lady, too bad she's shooting Canon. Of course I'm sure we've all been there where we get in some crazy spot just to get the shot.
Little crazy there. I've walked across sketchy floors, dilapidated roofs, and through ghettos to get shots of abandoned buildings. I'm sure I did some stupid stuff like climbing up ledges to get up to a second floor.
Yes, it is a captivating shot ... I think in large part due to the fact that she's totally unaware of how attractive she looks in that moment as she's clearly focused on photography.
OK, I've studied this for the last 20 minutes or so and can't quit figure out why she would have her toned legs in the air. I would think that position would be quite a bit less stable than if she had them down, possibly with me holding onto them, you know, just to be safe
(Hey, I'm always happy to help a fellow photographer, particularly one with legs like that)
She is clearly not that smart because that exact angle can be achieved by flipping 180 degrees "normal" shot in the same position...but I don't think that this is the main theme of the photo

Andre,
She is "unaware"? Talk to your wife and then report back on whether or not she is "unaware." Me thinks you are a little naive or your comment needed a smily face.
Well, I could study that for a long time....
However, that's about as intentional a posed and positioned shot as can be. And the others? Not really about the photographer at all as the real risk takers in the image.

You may be right ... but I'll choose to give her the benefit of the doubt
We joke about not seeing the camera, but none of us saw the link
Edit - I have seen an old photo of a photographer repelling down the side of a cliff with a tripod mounted view camera. Can't find the freaking picture though.
