Ordered the first part of April from Adorama, still no lens. Any Adorama folks out there that have received lens? When did you place your order? I'm hoping its here for my 2nd week of July vacation.
I ordered April 10th from both Adorama and B&H, and still don't have it either. I'll probably cancel within the next few days since my Yellowstone trip is coming up on June 21st, and I don't think I'll use this lens outside that trip.

Actually I just contacted B&H about my order placed April 9th, wanting to know where I fall in the queue - I explained I was going on vacation June 18th for 11 days and I'd hate to miss out on a delivery. They projected I'd get mine in about 2 weeks (around the time I was leaving) and to contact them again closer to my vacation, and they would hold and reserve my order if it comes in until my return date.
They seemed very accommodating, so it seems mine "may" be coming soon…

I ordered mine in early April and decided to call B&H today just for fun. Sorry to say they couldn't tell me anything. I'm glad I'm not really in a hurry, just hoping to have it by early August.
I got both Canon & Nikon versions months ago & a few weeks ago.
I went to a Tamron road show recently & heard its a two months wait now.
I like 150-600mm, they are a great value for the price.
I bought both of mine together from B&H minutes of them going live on 12-24-2013.
This lens was rumored for over a month before 12-24-2013 website order launch.
I waited over 18+ months for the Canon 8-15mm L to arrive after it was announced.
That wait was annoying !
As of today, 6-24-14 its been 6 whole months since the Tamron orders went live,
so give it another 12+ months more and you'll be at the same 18+ months of time

Hoping that this long line of orders will be fulfilled by the time I've saved up enough for this lens at the end of the year.
Are you guys in Adorama and B&H's waiting lists also on a waitlist with your local camera dealers? Seems like that would be a much faster way to get a lens with the current fulfillment rates, if you've got a shop that is.
Damn, that lens is reminding me of the D60. It was never in stock and then eventually discontinued. Will the 150-600 will be available to the general public by October 17?
Received my 5th backorder notice from B&H today. Doesn't really look like anyone else has this lens either. Looks like waiting is the name of the game.
