Bubble...I have the original 58mm thread version(2 weeks now) and I'll be honest...I love the lens! Very sharp, and really sharp stopped down, and it does have great bokeh!

Just did a quick comparison test of the Mitakon II vs Noctilux 0.95 at the camera shop.
Both at 1 meter.
Though the Noct is clearly sharper but I am quite interesting with this lens.
I prefer to bring the Mitakon when traveling than my Noct
And one more thing, it's MFD is 0.5 m compared to the Noct 1 m.
So that I dont have to use Voigtlander close focus adapter for close mfd.

Jeremy...it's actually very smooth clickless aperture, but there is quite a bit of resistance(at least my copy). So changing the aperture accidentally is quite difficult. I shoot mostly wo, but it's really sharp stopped down, too. It's a very good all-rounder 50mm in my book!

clickless aperture is the only thing I don't like about this lens, sometimes I have to double check what aperture I am at as sometimes I've accidentally changed it somehow.
Besides different in aperture and bokeh, any thoughts about Zeiss Loxia 50 f2 vs Mitakon 50 f0.95? Will the Mitakon give you the "3D" effect that many people talk about when shooting with Zeiss lens?
I did a brief comparison between my Nokton 1.5 ASPH and a ZM Planar 2 both at f/2 and TBH, the difference between the 2 is very minimal, although the Planar still had a tiny advantage in micro-contrats.
then back in Sept, I did a brief comparison test between my Nokton and the Speedbooster and comparing both at f/2 the Speedmaster has more vignetting but it pops more than the Nokton
