p.14 #2 · Who's Got Olympus on Sony A7/A7R Images ???
I'm no lens tester and I'm certainly not as fussy as a lot of folks who test their gear for any defects but running a quick 'n dirty test of my Oly 18mm f/3.5 on the A7S is impressing me quite a bit. Has anyone else tried this combo?
Some 100% crops (screen grabs from an unsharpened RAW file). I'm not claiming these are perfect, but it's much better performance than I was expecting and better than what I've seen from the 18 on the A7 or the A7r.
Again, I'm not claiming the lens is perfect, but once I apply some sharpening and PP I am very impressed. I will do some more real world shots before concluding anything but so far, so good!

Just hacking around the homestead killing time...nothing fancy...just a well-worn Adirondack chair and a potted yucca trying out some Olys that were stashed in a bag. Lenses were fitted with an Oly/EOS adapter, then onto a Fotodiox EOS/NEX adapter. Don't have an Oly/NEX adapter yet since not sure if I'll be keeping these lenses...trying to pare down a bit. I'm surprised as to how well the corners on the 24 held up.
