This is the first image from my trip to Acadia National Park for a week from which I arrived home last evening a bit before 11:00 PM. I have to wade through the 1400 or so images and process both the selected images as well as those from my recent trip to Shenandoah National Park. There will be posted threads for both of these trips when I can get caught up. But it is going to take sometime. More to be posted in this thread and the Leica R thread with time.
This image was taken yesterday morning with my tripod mounted A7r and my Leica M 90mm f2.5 Summarit lens. Image taken at Schoodic Point near Winter Harbor, Maine. Lens set to f11 for 1/500 second at ISO 100 and processed in LR6. I probably took several hundred?? images of breaking waves with an assortment of lenses within Acadia NP at different locations during the trip.
^Rich - Looking forward to seeing more from this trip. One of these days I want to get out there myself. For now, I look forward to living vicariously through your images!
Last night the colors at sunset were interesting. A combination of summer haze and the fires in Canada made for some different colors in the sky and on the water.
A7rM - Sony FE 24-240mm. Evenings are beautiful here this time of year. This is looking west at San Juan Islands with Vancouver Island, BC, Canada on the horizon.
I took a shot of this last year with my D700 and loved it, but really wished I had a few more MP to work with for enlarging. I went back this week with my a7, but the 35 is just not wide enough for it. This was my first time doing a stitched image. In all I stitched 14 images together. Probably overkill, but CS6 used some from every image. I learned some lessons for taking multi shot panoramas, so hopefully I can take a few more this week while I'm out.
