Oh boy this lens needed a lot of getting used to, and it was nothing like people described ("super good wide open" etc. crap is usually said about this lens). Now I finally understood that it becomes good only @ f/4 (boke, rendering...) and it really hates filters, I have started to get results I like. The hood is really good and can be also used with Elmarit-M 90mm.
Bob, my favorite is...both!!!
Ronny, another great picture to your credit.
Samuli, I don't know how it is, because I have tried that lens and wan't overly impressed, though it had its good sides, but your shot knocks the ball out of the park. Incredible!
It's big, but I'm happy with the results so far and it's not really heavy (lighter than a contax 35/1.4 with adapter from memory). I should get some time to play this weekend so I'll hopefully have more to share soon.
Those mountain shots are gorgeous, Dale - they make my feet itchy
Here are a couple with an elderly Nikkor-S 55 1.2 I've had sitting on the shelf for some - a huge front element, and quite glowey, but surprisingly sharp, although with a wafer thin zone of sharp focus when wide open as here...

Are you talking about Sony-Zeiss FE 35 1.4? Thanks for sharing
