Anticrepuscular sun rays! These are sun rays that are on the opposite horizon as the sun. They were on the east horizon, as the sun was setting in the west.
Though this purchase is really in anticipation for the coming Pentax FF since I have the smaller option of CV12/5.6 for the A7, I have been pleasantly surprised by the performance of this lens at this sort of price.
Its also better than the CV12 for less work needed to take care of the vignetting (really strong on the CV12).
Distortion is very large though, but it seems the correction profiles that I can find for LR on the internet works well enough not to worry too much about it.
The bulging front element is a pain though for a filter option.
I just find that I'm not a dedicated enough shooter to carry such a big filter system.
