Rene...what's your impression of the 21mm converter? Looks pretty damn good to me, so far. Mine arrives this weekend hopefully!

What can I say. It is a beautiful piece of glass. pretty weighty. Am not a tester. take only pictures. and my first impression. I like it! for me as an amateur a wonderful addition to the FE28. only. without lens correction profile = very ghastly!

Thanks for the info! Will read your link. The far corners are not that important to me, I usually shoot a little wide if possible which leaves me some room to crop extreme corners if sharpness there is critical (which is not that often anyway). I'm more interested in the rendering/color/bokeh.
I already have a QBM Distagon 35/2.8, a Minolta MC 35/1.8 and a Schneider Retina Curtagon 35/2.8 but the concave FD 35/2 especially seems to have a big following from what I read online.
The FD 24/2 is another one that's supposed to be very good an I am keeping an eye out for that too. I have an FDn 24/2.8 which I found a bit disappointing especially compared to the FDn 20/2.8 and 28/2 which are both excellent on the a7 (may be just my copy of the 24/2.8 though since most people seem to think the 20/2.8 and 24/2.8 are very close in quality)....Show more →
Some old pics and some re-post about wonderful Canon FDn 35mm f/2... especially for bokeh aspect...
All excellent work, everyone! I have trouble not giving out likes .
Just got the Leica 50 APO a few days ago, tried it out at the ABQ Botanical Garden. So instead of going with my usual PP, I decided to go all SOOC, all WO. I used it with the Hawk's helicoid, some at max mag.
This is a wonderful old lens. This lens has just been sitting on the shelf for years. Asahi Super Takumar 50mm F/1.4 on a Sony A7r Mod These are all shot wide open.

Thanks for that selection Manuel - this week I reviewed images I've shot with it over this last year, ending up with a decision to stick with it for now as my main 35, rather than replacing it with a Loxia Biogon - insufficient gain for the required expenditure, and the money would be better spent elsewhere - I'm eyeing up something rather more wide. Regards John
This place is approximately 9-hour drive from where I live; definitely within a striking distance. This is my first time to the Secret Canyon and second to the Lower Antelope Canyon. I skipped the upper Antelope Canyon not only because I was there 4 times but it is way too crowded. This is photographically a must visit spot and I can give you tips/hints if any of you is interested.
We are planning a possible family trip out that way, so I'll have to remember to hit you up. Might not be until next year though...
I think this is the longest I've gone without shooting in the last 10 years. I finally went for a walk during lunch and to some shots with the A7 II + Minolta MD 35-70/3.5 macro.
Willapa Bay NWR in SW Washington State is primarily a refuge for waterfowl, but with a bit of searching it is easy to find smaller wildlife denizens as well. The pose here shows why this fellow is called a crab spider.

You're welcome... same conclusion I reached... for now
