Three bracketed images towards under exposure, which were then processed using LR from yesterday's sunset, well, after sunset actually . Captured using Canon 11-24mm lens. I will have another attempt to do this one more time today.
Peire - I've always been happy with the Rollei Distagon 25 on the A7R although it does vignette a little as could be expected. It also worked fine on my former 5D Mk III, however not all adapters focus to infinity. It was a bargain buy, being sold on the B&S forum and nobody else seemed to show interest.
Ebookman,
I continue to be amazed by the quality of your shots with the 24-240. First congrats to the photographer for such beautiful images! Would you care sharing a critical evaluation of the lens; shortcomings, weaknesses, limits, etc. From what I've seen from your cruise, and now back home, there appears to be very few! Thanks.

Joshua...stunning. I need to retire too
Let's do it! What's stopping you ?
I will be off to the Secret Canyon and the Lower Antelope Canyon today! This is my first visit to the Secret Canyon, which is reported to be similar to that of the Upper Antelope Canyon but without the crowd, supposedly only 4 photographers are admitted at the time (in two time slots a day and two time slots for regular visitors of 12). We will see how it is. I have been to both the Lower and Upper a few times before. Just FYI, Gregg.

Marc shortcoming of the lens. The bokeh I think is to harsh. It is a compromise in any regard for all the benefits. At the 240mm end the open aperture is f/6.3, not exactly an f/1.4 bokeh monster! The lens on the whole is amazing and appears better than the reviews. I have not been impressed with the image quality in the reviews. Either I have the best copy of the lens ever made or I have learned a lot about post processing from this forum. I have, with special thanks to FM'er Phillip Reeve. --Dale
Shot at 15mm with A7 and SEL1018. Location was the Hartford, CT State Capitol building earlier this year. I found very good results with this cropped sensor lens on the full frame body.

I see this thread has passed the 2 million mark on views. There's a reason for this!
Dale - I think you have a really good copy of 24-240 and good PP.
Here is a pano of stitched images and a single shot - both using A7r and the C-Y Z 100-300 VS. I really like this lens!

Dave; Wonderful landscapes with a great lens! That zoom is so good!
Is this Canada rockys?
Sculptormic - thanks. I have a Voigtlander 90mm APO and the 180 APO (nothing wrong with these lens - both sharp) but this CYZ 100-300 is sharper with better micro-contrast. These are the Patagonias (southern Andes) - pic #1 on the Argentina side and pic#2 was the Chilean side.
