yikes lol, My Imac isn't maxed ram only 24gb 1 ssd and 1 standard HD. My laptop is maxed ram I'm adding probably 1tb SSD. lol I process 36mp files fine on both though lol
By the way, you indicate you prefer smaller primes, even multiples over single, larger and heavier zooms. How about a single prime that is as large and heavy as a zoom? Only idiots sould buy that, right? Well, meet your idiot friend, with his 1kg prime
Just because I prefer 'small' primes doesn't mean I don't have large zooms with both the 16-35 and 70-200/4. I have to use my old 'regular' bag when I take those out which I must admit is not nearly often enough to justify having them. BTW - I am envious of your 1Kg prime!!!
That CY35/1.4 is giving very impressive results. I love how it renders in your shots. I'm new to this whole legacy lens thing (just moved over to Sony a week ago).
Already getting hooked (I have a CV 15/4.5III and a FD24/2.8 coming in this week). Might be interested in something like that CY 35/1.4.
How would you guys compare it to the CV Nokton 35/1.4 or 40/1.4?
Nice Puckman. Unfortunately I do not own the CV's you mention. Closest is the Pentax FA31mm 1.8 ltd, which is reminiscent of the CY. Subtle yet detailed. The CY is sharper wide open though and the out of focus portions are smoother then the Pentax.
From a recent trip to China. Shot mostly in very low light at night with a SONY Zeiss 55mm F/1.8. Many are shot wide open at 1.8. Some color correction and resized to a web acceptable quality (about 65% quality jpg in LR). The sharpness, color and micro-contrast are all fantastic with this lens.
