Got myself a C/Y 50mm/1.7 Planar yesterday and went for a short walk to try it out. First impression is positive, but I didn't really get along with 50mm when I had one a few years ago, so we'll see how it goes.
Ronny, philber and Peir, thanks! If the weather is OK we plan to do a little car trip tomorrow and I will try if for landscapes then. It looks very sharp, so that shouldn't be a problem. Today I took a few flower shots and bokeh looks like it can be a bit busy sometimes, but so far I like it.

Great shots Michiel and Peire
I have made scout commitment to reduce the numer of third copies in my collection, which ended up successfully with about 240 lenses in posession.Nevertheless I have no more space on my office room desk for lenses and some of them had to move on the nearby shelf .Beware! There are usually 10-20 in the waiting room, visible on the pic,but not yet accepted. (A7+18/3.5 Distagon ZF,quick, crappy shot):
There is some place on the left down side, but it serves as a landing field for cats jumping down from the scratching post. The little free space on the right down is supposed to protect the rooter.

Thank you so much for posting this!
I will show it to my wife and she will suddenly understand why I need so many lenses...

And now something for Ronny, the Northern Pulsatilla Master!
This variety of the pasque flower comes from Sweden and is called "Rode klokke" i.e, red bell I suppose,(sorry for not being able to put umlaut over "o" in Rode),and I like it very much. Not only pasque flowers are my favourite spring flowers, but this one is the only one to bloom in red. There are white and pink varieties, plus some light and dark purple hybrids of P.vulgaris with P.patens,P.pratensis and P.zimmermani here in Central Europe, but no one is that nicely red like the "Rode klokke".

Butterfly-season has started :-) I'll try not to bore you all too much with lots of butterfly pics, but being the first time this year I'll allow myself the exception :-)
Sony A7 + Pentax A 100mm 2.8 macro @ f8. Yellowish cast due to the color of the bush the blue one chose to feed.

wonderful shots Helena! what made you choose the f/1.7 over the f/1.4 out of curiousity?
The MAC in Niteroi.
3 horizontal shots with A7 and Minolta MD 35-70 f3.5 Macro.
Unfortunately I had to take the pictures hand-held because the security guard stopped me using my tripod.

Cute!
Thanks! The reviews I read before buying said that the f/1.7 is a little better. That it's also smaller and cheaper doesn't hurt. Of course, afterwards I have read reviews claiming that the f/1.4 is better and has smoother bokeh..! Oh well, what's done is done. I'll use it for a while and we'll see. Eventually I may replace it with a 35/1.4 of some kind (maybe not too long into the future... ).
