I have been posting images from Iceland in the last few weeks. Roughly, those images were in the same chronological sequence we did the trip. To conclude the series here are the last images from Iceland. We loaded the car up and on the way to the airport we stopped by and took pictures at the famous Blue Lagoon, which located only some 20-25 minutes from the airport.
The high mineral content, mostly silica, of the "blue" water is considered beneficial to the skin and is used for recreational and medicinal purposes to bathe in. The blue color comes from the silica and the way it reflects light.
These pictures were taken outside the spa area and they are the last images from Iceland from me unless I find some additional really good images worth posting . Thanks!
