Thanks Joshua ! With 17 days I don't mind hanging around in one area for the right conditions (and I think that beach is close to Vik right ? In which case it ties in with the Puffin cliff shots I'm looking for too). Finding a legal spot to throw up the tent will be the challenge I guess.
Yes, NE from Vik, about 2 hours away or so. Iceland is not that big . I am not sure about finding a legal spot to pitch a tent nearby. The closest lodging place is 30 minutes away but it was sold out completely when we were there. The next one is about 45 minutes away and that's where we stayed for two nights.
A few of the last images from the glacier lagoon/beach. The first two show pattern of some glacier and the last two from the lagoon itself. Again, glacier and ice blocks are drifting from the lagoon but being pushed back ashore after reaching the open water.
Used A7's are cheap enough now that I couldn't resist selling my Nex-7 and picking one up. I must admit I'm still not an EVF lover but much like the Nex-7 it works great for me if I'm shooting slower. For faster shooting I still can't resolve fine detail like eyelashes in an EVF, it just looks like a pixelated mess. Sometimes I can guess at in focus areas by looking for moire but this is unreliable at best and focus peaking is annoying and inaccurate. I'm going to practice for a few weeks and see if it gets easier. These are all from a hike yesterday with a Zuiko 24 2.8 and 50 f2 macro.

This thread is like a fast train which never stops. So much great stuff and variety!
Which is one reason why it is so interesting. At the risk of confirming your prejudices about the weather in the UK Michiel here are some more misty shots from the top of the hill:
For some reason these shots aren't showing correctly so I have edited them out and tried again further on!
One of the unexpected (at least to me) findings with the Voigtlander 14/4.5 III is how much MFD is reduced with a helicoid. Here are three images. The first is focused near infinity focused, the second with the helicoid open about 1/4 and the third with the helicoid open about 2/3. At this point, I'm about an inch or two away from the subject. If I open the helicoid all the way, I cannot get focus. This was all handheld and I wasn't trying to do any real testing but I find this combo really interesting. By the way, on the last image, the focus point was on the 'D'
