Some B&Ws inside Thomas Edison's summer home laboratory in Ft. Myers Florida
Wow. Before I read your text, I scanned the images and my first thought was that it looked like Thomas Edison's lab in New Jersey, then learned that it was his lab in Florida. I guess Edison was a creature of habit.

Unfortunately time is a factor here, so I won't be able to send it off for modification. I'll need to use it immediately. So the a7 with v-me close focus adapter for around $1K would work for portrait and real estate work? Comparable to my M-E (which, btw I'm very happy with, just wish I had it back from Leica) how will images quality compare?
for portraits image quality will be comparable, color will be different. for for real estate work you will need to stop down the lux and zm 35/2 a lot more than was required on the ME to get sharp edges and corners. the cv 21/1.8 should be just a little behind it's performance on the leica.

Wonderful shots! This thread goes so fast I've lost track, since my last visit. I've just received a Contax 28 2,8 (Helena's fault, actually), but I've had very little time to shoot. Here are a couple from a walk I took today:
Ronny: These are excellent landscapes again. Great use of the Big Stopper. I have one too, but admittedly never managed to take a decent picture with it, probably I used it too late in the day or ended up with pictures that left me feeling very BLUE . These great pictures convinced me to give it another try soon.

The A7II has less sensor reflections than your A7, Another option that might improve the A7 is the thin cover glass conversion, though I'm not sure if it's been proven beyond a doubt.
Even my A7r is not as immune as my NEX-7.
I don't, have you ever tried taking a picture of someone across the table and can't because they are too close? I have, a close focus adapter can be very handy.
Yes I know. That's why I told him If he use >50mm focal length lens, for example: a Leica 90mm, 4mm closer compares to 1m minimum focus length is not really sufficient, isn't it ? But If he use <50mm focal length, I highly recommend it.

P/s: Lovely photo Where is that place ?
Where are you getting this 4mm from? The MFD of a 90mm lens typically changes from 1m to 0.75m or so with one of those helicoids. That is a significant change.

You need to be aware of the (green) sensor flare from the A7 and A7r if dealing with artificial lights in the scene. I remember someone on here showing it became particularly obvious at (below) certain shutter speeds and maybe light temperatures and apertures too.
One of the reasons I'll be selling the A7 for a later model as soon as it's proven Sony have addressed this issue.
You don't really need to ask re. image quality - just look through this thread, using the search function, for lenses of interest !
Junipers are about the only trees that can grow in the Tibetan uplands - they have been considered sacred through history. Twigs are sorted, then sold for ingestion by massive burners at monasteries. The authorities have taken to providing firefighters to protect surrounding areas. (i) and (iii) FE55; (ii) CY 100/3.5, on a7r.
Congrats to all, what a display! Among them, many of the usual suspects: Michiel, Ronny, Jako, Charles, Werner, wow! One from a afternoon walk in Munich. A7R and FE 35 f:2.8
