Very nice twoeye. Do I recognice this scene from you from before...?

I seem to recall a similar image with heavy 3D. Could it have been the CV35/1.2 or perhaps Rokkor 58/1.2?

And stop whining about editing, that's half the pleasure ;-)

What pills are you taking... I can't stand editing/postprocessing, my rule has been "if I need to twist more than one slider I have failed when I shoot the photo" with 5DmkII and Aperture.

Maybe I need to hire assistant to do the boring part of photography. She/he could start from my holiday 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 or 2012 pictures as almost all of them have ~50% which I haven't ever viewed after getting bored to post processing after first few days photos...

Very nice! But I am seeing some low contrast backgrounds. Are you doing selective work on these?

Thanks. No, haven't yet connected Wacom to Windows computer and my mouse drawing skills make any 2 year old drawings look like they are drawn with CAD. Also drawing mask is thing I really hate doing - I originally moved from Canon L to Zeiss partially because I needed <5% post processing time.

Air was quite hazy that improved situation, and light was coming from 180 degrees as the cloud cover was very very thick.

Also I think there is difference between Sony converter and Lightroom in that Sony boke looks like Lightroom with clarity slider turned halfway to right. BTW. That clarity slider is the ugliest son of bitch slider in earth, can't figure out why someone would voluntarily use it - disgusting heavy look to images.

carstenw wrote:
Can you use import settings to decease the amount of work per photo?

No (assuming it's similar to applying preset of setting to images when importing). One photo needs blacks slider moved to -3 other -20 even both originals look about the same. Same with vibrancy, some photos needed +3 other +15. I haven't needed much other sliders. Tried most of them, but like in Apple Aperture they usually do more harm than good to photos.

I'm getting ColorChecker Passport next week, maybe it helps to get better results with less tweaking - thou profile basing on so few patches can't be high quality but it's only 70EUR to test it. I have big pile of Kodak Q60 targets, but could not find any software supporting Q60.

You remember correctly, I have done the same scene with the Rokkor 58/1.2:

i'm excited to try my ltm version when i finally get the camera.

Yes they were all wide open.

You need to add some contrast but the lens certainly has character.
LTM version could be an advantage, because my home made Contax RF/NEX adapter is a bit wobbly.

Are you getting an A7? Which one? I am really glad with my A7r

Thanks, there you have it. Epic image. No need for 55/1.8, though wonderful-of-a-lens if you got the Rokkor 1.2 card up your sleeve ;-)

Just a few holiday snaps visiting family. A7r + 55FE. I have to say I'm absolutely loving the bokeh/sharpness combination on this lens. It's look is just very pleasing to my eye. The AF doesn't hurt either, especially with camera-shy subjects. :P

Some FE 55 images remind me of RX1 bokeh, that is a compliment I hasten to add.

Interesting comparison here of 'Beauty and the Beast': A7r + Voigtlander VM 50mm f/1.5 Nokton

http://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3600119

The guy loved the Voigt until he shot some detailed longer shots...and read some Lloyd

Aside from creating custom profiles, are there any sources for downloading lens profiles for Voigtländer lenses for Adobe ARC?

I bought the ultra light OM 200/5 for use with the 5n, but never really liked the results. A7 seems a different story. Lens weighs 385 grams.
