Gregg, don't worry... the only problem is Swedish snails are more sexy than Californian ones... I'm pretty sure if you were in Sweden the result was better
I seldom post but have many images from travel to the N winter in Dec and Jan.
These were of a workers' protest in Siena, Tuscany in Italy on 12 Dec. Unlike any such marches I've seen elsewhere there was as much musicality to this as there was protest! It complicated our quick tour of historic Siena, but in a very entertaining manner.
Watchful Tibetan women; the frilly face masks slow down the frigid air before it reaches the throat and lungs. The colder it gets the tighter seal around your face you will want. Everyone breathes a little harder to maintain oxygen sat levels. Few people run, most saunter. Tibetans have some genetic material from Denisovan ancestors which helps with adaptation to altitude.
